Foreign Degree Recognition

UFSC provides the recognition of undergraduate degrees conferred by foreign institutions when the degree program is equivalent to the undergraduate programs offered at UFSC.

In case of Medicine degrees, before submitting the documentation to UFSC, applicants must pass the INEP REVALIDA exam. For more information and application procedures, click here.

UFSC does not recognize technologist degrees. If you hold a technologist degree, you should look for a Federal Education Institute that offers this type of degree in Brazil.

HOW TO APPLY FOR DEGREE RECOGNITION

The application for foreign degree recognition at UFSC is done through the Carolina Bori Platform.

To submit your application, you must follow these steps:

1) Send your complete documentation, via the Platform, within the standards required by UFSC and in accordance with the guidelines in the Applicant Guide;

After preliminary analysis and receipt of all required documentation, the Student Administration Department (DAE) will send an email to the applicant to schedule a time to present the original physical documentation, which must be done by the applicant or their agent.

2) Present the original copies of the documents sent via the Platform, in person at UFSC, for authentication of the digital copies;

3) Pay the initial amount of R$ 850.00, referring to the application and analysis services, as defined by Normative Resolution No. 19/2017/CC. The remaining amount, R$150.00, refers to the registration of the degree and is charged at the end of the process, in cases where the application is approved. The link with the guidelines for paying the fee (GRU) will be sent via the Platform after checking the original copies of the documents.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. UFSC has up to 30 days to carry out the preliminary analysis of the documentation received and to return it to the applicant. If an application does not include the complete documentation, or if the documentation does not meet our standards, the subsequent applicant will have priority (if they meet the standards).
